Our Story

Some people fall into their career. Steve built his — literally.

What started as weekend and summer yard work while he was still in school quickly grew into something more. Steve loved the process of transforming outdoor spaces and took pride in making properties look their best. As he gained experience across different areas of landscaping, he found himself drawn most to hardscapes — the beauty, structure, and permanence of building spaces that people could enjoy for decades.

Steve went on to earn a BFA in Graphic Design along with a Teaching Certificate from Eastern Michigan University. There he developed a trained eye for proportion, materials, and layout — skills that continue to influence every project today. That combination of hands-on construction experience and formal design training allows the company to approach each project with both creativity and practicality.

Today, the company is a family-owned business serving homeowners and contractors throughout Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas. Steve remains closely involved in each project, bringing a thoughtful, design-driven approach and a focus on clear communication, craftsmanship, and long-term durability. When he’s not on a job site, he’s at home with his wife, four kids, and their dog, enjoying time together and making the most of outdoor spaces of his own.
